Map of Refuge and Proposed Acquisition Boundaries   On September 5, 1990, Congress approved the acquisition of 8,654 acres for the Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge.  Approximately 5,000 acres have been purchased to date.  The following map shows the current Refuge and its proposed boundaries.
